- Pixel - a combination of one red, one blue, and one green. Pixel is short for Picture Element.
- 256 Red x 256 Blue x 256 Green = 16,777,216 total colors.

- Flicker occurs in a CRT because the phosphor dims while waiting for the next pass of the electron gun.
