Hotspot Security:
- All wireless routers can lock out strangers with a password or"key".
- Sniff is a geek term for snooping on a flow of data on a network.
- HotSpotVPN a paid vpn service to secure your WiFi data.

- Running Windows Vista:
- To disable Ad-Hoc Networks:
- (1)Click the Windows button
(2)Type cmd [i.e. command prompt]
(3)Right-click "cmd" result and say "Run as Administrator"
(4)Type "netsh wlan add filter permission=denyall networktype=adhoc"
(5)Click enter
(6)Done
- To enable Ad-Hoc Networks:
- (1)Click the Windows button
(2)Type cmd [i.e. command prompt]
(3)Right-click "cmd" result and say "Run as Administrator"
(4)Type "netsh wlan del filter permission=denyall networktype=adhoc"
(5)Click enter
(6)Done
- Running Windows XP:
- To disable Ad-Hoc Networks:
- (1)Right click on "Wireless Network Connection" in the toolbar
(2)Click "View Wireless Networks"
(3)On the right-hand side click "Change Advanced Settings"
(4)Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
(5)Click the "Advanced" button at the bottom right section of the window
(6)Select "Access point (infrastructure) networks only"
(7)Click close and apply then ok
- To enable Ad-Hoc Networks:
- (1)Right click on "Wireless Network Connection" in the toolbar
(2)Click "View Wireless Networks"
(3)On the right-hand side click "Change Advanced Settings"
(4)Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
(5)Click the "Advanced" button at the bottom right section of the window
(6)Select "Any access point available"
(7)Click close and apply then ok
